Why this product?
Prevents scuffs, scratches, rips in the felt of the seat backs (and keeps dirt out!).
Why this brand?
The brand offers a few options, but I like how the material/pattern matches the Taptes floor mats.
Any regrets?
Nope - was a real quick swab of my finger to get it clean enough for pictures vs. having that dirt sit in the seat back felt.
Long Story Long
If you plan to do the U in SUV (CUV?) and shoot for utility, odds are you’re putting a bunch of odd-shaped and/or dirty things in your trunk. This seat back protector will weather the slings and arrows of incidental scrapes and bumps, and if you lay the seats down to transport something longer, then combined with floormats, it provides you a continuous protected flat surface.
Skiing/snowboarding - moving all that gear in and out will wear out the felt, plus any of the snow/ice/mud that comes off the gear will land on the protector to be wiped up, vs. soaking into the felt of the seat.
Biking - if you’re the type to put your bike in the car, you know how many sharp edges can snag felt. This gives you a surface you can abuse and will be a bit smoother for your bike to push/pull through.
Gardening - if you’re regularly going out to buy your own mulch/fertilizer, (a) you’re getting some good exercise, and (b) for those instances where a bag has a hole or breaks, you’d much rather have that spill on the surface of the protector than the felt seat back.

Depending on how neurotic you are, it may take some time to find the perfect positioning where all 3 pieces are lined up evenly.
